Cirque de Navacelles
  • A morning at one of the many markets in the local area; a chance to buy great food as the French do, souvenirs and local crafts
  • A walk to the "edge of the world" (le cirque du bout du monde) or along the "botanical path" (sentier botanique) to get a view of Soubès and the surrounding countrtyside
  • A cycle ride along the many quiet roads in the beautiful countryside around Les Pavots
  • A day out to visit the vineyards in the local area and to sample some of the truly excellent wines of the Languedoc region
  • The Grotte de Clamouse is a popular limestone cave; can be combined with a visit to St.Guilhem le Desert
  • Kayaking down mini rapids on the l’Herault river, taking in a picnic on one of the many riverside beaches
  • A visit to the awe inspiring Millau viaduct
  • Wondering around the ancient streets of Pézenas with its many craft shops and restaurants
  • A trip to the spectacular Cirque de Navacelles - a geographical wonder
  • A day at the beach with a seafood supper on the way home in the pretty port of Marseillan or Meze
  • Sailing, canoeing, fishing, swimming or windsurfing on the Lac du Salagou followed by jazz in a bar by the water’s edge
  • Shopping in the chic boutiques of Montpellier and visiting some of the cultural sites of this beautiful city
  • Climbing the rock formations at Moureze and visiting the old Napoleonic village nearby
  • Visit the many caves in Roquefort-sur-Soulzon, which is where the famous cheese is produced
  • Or just…stroll down to the village, crossing the stream on the stepping stones and passing by beautiful vineyards. Stop at the Café du Terral for a “petit café” a “pastis” or a refreshing “pression” or even enjoy a bite to eat and a chance to chat with the locals
